Scanner dont communicate with Mac Osx

Hello,
I bought a new printer/scanner/CDprinter - Pixma MP630, I have a Mac Os X leopard snow system, the scanner don't communicant with my Mac I try to install and reinstall and install again the new drivers on the Canon site, but no use, the scanner dont communicate with my Mac ether the driver for printing Cd (that is not updated for my system yet), Aldo the printer does work and communicate, I cannot understand what is going on, try to call the service but no good, please someone help me!!!!!

hi there,
change the usb data cable to a 2.0
then reinstall the driver
and revert back if still the same issue
