Hello there I am having a problem hooking up another computer to an existing router. I have one computer that is hooked up already the other computer is at another location and I have run approx 350 feet of Cat 5 cable to it. I can't get the desktop to see the network but when I hook up the laptop it works perfect. I would also like to put a wireless access point in there so that I can use my lap top over there and the desktop. Can you please help.
The way cable ends are is green pair first but I have tried the orange pair as well to no avail in there something in the config. I have also brought the computer over from the location and plugged it in with a patch cable and it worked so I have no idea
