Desktop keyboard does not type alphabetical c

Hello,

I have a desktop keyboard that is connected to a terminal. I have switched the keyboards just to make sure that it is not the keyboard that is at fault. The keyboard only type and recognise the numeric keys on the numeric keypad and the numbers on the qwerty keyboard. How can I get the rest of the keys to work? The alphabetical keys does not work.
