ive put a dvd drive in my friends comp that already has a cd rw but when the cd rw is plugged in the dvd rw wont burn but works fine on its own what could the reason be

HI,
Instaling another cd rom drive in your cpu is a very simple process .
You need to verify whether your cable connecting your actual cd rom drive to mother has another free slot
The installation will be done automatically if your are using xp
