Vista to xp install problem for cq-40

Hello,
i bought in compaq presario cq-40 laotop. already install in win vista. but now i try to install win xp. at that time hdd not found. plese give the solution for install win xp for that laptop

Dear Sir,

You will have to disable the SATA native mode in the bios, SATA configuration before you install Windows XP

To access your BIOS please press on F2,

Then go in BIOS configuration to change the SATA mode to IDE
