Hello,
i've been given back my computer from the computer shop and the windows live messenger is old 5.1 or something i've tried everything to get the latest version 14.0627.06 or something like that and everytime i do this it says theres an error and cant be installed. i have tried installers and deleting the old msn but nothing is working i really need help.i have windows Xp professional.

hi there,

you can remove the old msn completely by

using zap messenger here is the download link:

http://ccm.net/download/download-3346-zapmessenger

then reinstall latest version
