Application error

Hello, I am having a problem. I bought a new computer on Friday, a Dell; and have been receiving the following error message every time I close out of Internet Explorer. It says APPLICATION ERROR; and then has this combination of letters and numbers 0x044cc1b0. Does anyone know what this means; or how to fix it.
