Hello,
I have bought a new laptop running windows Vista Premium and it will not see my HP LaserJet 1200 printer (USB connected). I have tried to get the drivers from the net but there is some kind of security on this system that prevents me from using the online Robot so it can search for the printer and find the correct driver. I have lost my Installation CD. Can't find it. I have had this printer for some years now. How can I get the correct drivers and how can I disable Vista security about activex controls etc...
---
When I first bought this printer, I did not use USB wires to connect it,..it was a printer cable.
tks for helping me as HP does not answer the phone

Thank you but it does not. And I do not understand howcome my new laptop does not see the printer! Is it due to Windows Vista PRemium? it sees it well on my other laptop which is running windows vista ...
I am really bugged by this....I was able to install my inkjet printer ok..as I still have the disc.
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
