ACer black scree with gren dots

Hello,
My ACER apire laptop on start up I see the BIOS and windows xp and then the screen goes black with gren dots all over on the black screen,, and desk top does not come on,, i have to keep doing previously well functioning config to on start up to aoid this,, can some one help me please,,i have windows xp home edition.cheers

Dear Sam,

This should be a problem resulting from your Graphic Cards. Please consider checking if it is

working properly.
