What is application error and object error

Hello,
i occured a runtime error,,that is application error and object error

for ex:

sheets("sheet1").select
cells.copy
sheets("sheet2").select
range("a1").select ------------( i am getting error in these line only)...
activesheet.paste

please clear my doubt,,,to develop myself

Dear Sir,

The application error in fact results from bugs that exist in the essential files that are used to process any

command and the object error contains all these errors under a file.
