Hello,

I had a problem with my windows keep restarting after blue screen in normal mode.. I can change in safe mode.. And I had try to change the regedit entry but none of it work.. So I try to format new windows xp but then it appeared this "setup can not find any hard drives....... press F3 to exit"

I'm using compaq presario V3500 Notebook PC
Intel Core 2 Duo
BIOS Version F.13
PhoenixBIOS Setup

What should I do?

Please advise or provide a related link..

Tq..

hi there,

enter bios setting>

then disable sata mode or native mode

depending on model save and exit settings

reboot from your windows installation disk

Thanks

This is a problem caused by Windows XP not having drivers for the latest SATA interface chips that the new laptops use. I assume this laptop came with VISTA and you are trying to install Windows XP.

I would install Vista or Windows 7.

Good Luck
