Can't sign in on windows live messenger 8.5 Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,
I am experiencing windows vista, but in the last two days when I want to sign in on Windows Live Messenger 8.5 I can't, and a message appears " A newer version is available. you must install the newer version to continue, would you like to do this now?" when I click to no it can't sign in.  when clicking on ok it starts downloading the newer version and I don't want the latest version . 
I wonder I you could help me use WLM 8.5 again? How to solve this problem??

this version has been stopped from them 

you need to download the latest version only to be able to use it
