Battery on motherboard?

Hello,

a friend told me that i must regularly change the battery on my motherboard is it true ?

if i dont do that will it crash my pc ?

hi,

it wont crash you pc but it will just make you lose the time and date every time you log onto windows you will notice that. but it will also clear your bios means your computer configuration.

It is not neccessary for you to change you battery regularly, these battries last a long while but the effect isn't that bad once the battery runs out. The only minor problem you will face is that you need to set the time and date. As for crashing your system never in a million years. NEVER.
