Philips CD burner

Hello, I just installed a philips cd burner in my tower machine and my Windows XP will not show hardware found. I know it was connected right I maked all connections from my old burner. Both my player and the burner played before I disconnected them. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE. Thanks,,, Timbo

hi there,

have you used a new data cable with the new device?

does it open and close ?

please give more information
