Hello,
i wanted to know that can we connect a laptop to a projector using a cat5 cable , can i shoulder the cat5 cable to a 15 pin socket .

CAT5 ? No way. it needs a VGA cable. If you intend to make a VGA cable using CAT5 wire you might have problems with shielding between the wires. Tell us how it works.
