Hello,
I have a Acer Aspire 5100, and it's rather old now. How do I delete all infomation from it so I can sell it? (so no one can use my infomation).

I have Vista on my laptop, so I'm not sure how much this changes anything.

I need a step-by-step guide of exactuly how to delete everything, I hear rebooting is the best idea, I have the Acer Vista disc's, but I don't know how to reboot or anything.

Please help!

hi there,

insert the disk in the drive

and start machine it will prompt you to press any key or press and hold F8 key

to boot from cd and restore your machine to factory setting

or go to bios setting and change boot sequence and make

cd/dvd drive on boot priority, save and exit setting

Thanks
