i need help please. i left my office last night and my laptop was functioning normally. im running winxp. this AM, when i came in and started up, login screen was normal blue XP with user icons etc. but then the first thing i noticed was that my stopzilla anti spyware wasthe first window to pop up and it was blank. this never happens. task bar on bottom was also in grey and quick launch was gone. it almost looked like the comp had started in safe mode. i have no connection to network/internet. i tried to change settings back to standard XP theme but it is gone.
i tried f8 before the splash screen and tried safe mode, starting normally, and best known configuration, but nothing it changes nothing, and cant get to a system restore screen. is there a DOS cmd that will let me see who was on my comp?
i can get into all my files, outlook etc, but all my settings are wrong and i have no connectivity. im afraid to open files or outlook.
