Hello,
I m trying to help a friend of mine. She brought me a fujitsu siemens laptop (amilo pro) with a destroyed hard disk (samsung hm060Hi or something). I bought a new one to install windows xp on it ( samsung hm160HI) but windows installation doesnt recognise it. i ve tried installing the drivers of the hd but i guess i didnt manage to. also i ve tried putting it on an external case to use it as a usb drive to format it but windows didnt recognise it either. no volume was given just a mass storage driver installation. is the disk broken?or i just need a bit of help?!:)

Dear
try it seems that bad clusters in it. pls run NDD or similar to repair it. if not work that means your disk is broken.
thanks
