Itunes 9 wont update

Hello,
I have tried to update itunes to v9. As I am doing it it it tells me that it cannot as a newer version of Quickplay is running. I have searched my system and can only find the one version from 2008. I have now lost my playlists aswell. I have tried uninstalling itunes and downloading v9 from the website but the same thing hapens. HELp

Dear Sir,

Your firewalls might be restricting the updates. Please deactivate it

and see whether it works properly. If still it doesn't work, please

consider downloading the latest version completely and hence have

it installed.
