Prgmgr Missing and Setup Password Blocked so

Hello,
After Vista updates, cpu startup ends with message "pgmgr missing". Cannot boot from Vista CD because Setup (after entering "DEL") requires password (unknown) to get it to change boot order to boot from CD 1st. HELLLLPPP.

reset your bios and then boot from cd

Thanks, closeup22. Will try the hardware reset since can't get booted currently without password. What kind of cahllenge do I have ahead with default Bios (Vista quad 2 core)?
