No desktop!!

Hello,

Recently i replaced my antivirus program with bitdefender and ran a scan, but my computer ( XP ) crashed and now when i log on the desktop doesn't load (only wallpaper)
So i pressed crtl +Alt + del and it says im not admin??? could this be a virus or something? because when i press the same on guest it comes up perfectly.
So i tried to solve the problem on guest but when i run a new task like system restore ( right click and 'run as' admin, and enter my password ) it says i don't have some certain rights or something (cant remember exact, sorry)
when i open internet through the task manager my internet doesn't work (but laptop wireless works fine)
I cannot boot in safe mode because my computer is a packard bell and it is different to other computers ( i tried F8 but that only comes up with BIOS and i cant find safe mode anywhere else, also tried F2 but no luck )

Please help me ( If i forgot to add anything i will add as soon as i remember)
Please ask questions so this problem can be solved as soon as possible

oh i forgot to say that when you log on there is no sound ( normally the windows log-on sound should sound but since this problem occured , ther's no sound)
