Problem while installing XP

Hello,
My laptop is getting hanged 2/3 minutes after opening, I tried to format it with XP SP-2, but its showing file\i386\biosinfo.inf couldnot be loaded,error code-31337,and the setup is getting cancelled, wat to do? need help

hi there,

reload bios default settings

then reboot from installation cd

use another one as cd may be having scratches
