DVD Drive audio problem

Hello,
I had originally posted my request for help a few days go.Could someone give it a shot please. While playing a dvd,the sound lags behind the video and also breaks up. I have tried three different programs to read dvd's.The laptop is a Compaq R4000.Thank you.

Wd drive unlock - Guide
Dvd drive repair - Download - Backup and recovery
Dfx audio enhancer - Download - Other
Flash drive/card tester - Download - Backup and recovery

Thank you very much for your response. However, I have not downloaded the program yet(right after your response).Without being rude, in your opinion it is the program that is the problem !! Thanks again.Also could you let me know how I go about updating the drivers. If you could include a link .

My anti-virus programs won't let me download Codec- detecting a virus. Should I disregard and override?Thanks
