Hello,
I'm James and I just got a brand new Compaq desktop computer for my birthday and everything is working fine, except for the USB ports found at the front section of the CPU. I have tested the other ones found at the back and there seems to be no problem. Should I get them changed?

Hello. No need, the problem is quite simple. If the ports are actually there, they only need to be activated. You can do that by going to the Device Manager option. Go to the hardware section and choose the USB port that is not working yet. All you have to do now is to right click on its icon and activate the hardware. Problem solved! :)
