Hello,

I have some of my applications compatable to Windows XP.
However I bought a laptop (COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ61) which have a Windows Premium 7 installed.
I wanted to do a re-installtion of XP on this device and couldnt. I booted it on XP CD and came up to the Starting WIndows and Failed and gave the blue error screen.
What are the other possible ways to get rid of Windows 7 and install XP on the laptop. How can I install XP on this laptop? Your assistance will be highly appreceiated.

Dual boot is the way to go. Otherwise, you have problems with hardware drivers. This set of Vista instructions should work for Windows 7:

Thanks XPCMAN,
The harddrive seems to be healthy when checking.
Have you got any idea about dual boot...
Just give some few steps and I can go about..........
