Dear Shams,
The problem that you are experiencing is actually being caused because perhaps the drivers have been mistakenly deleted or uninstalled. The problem will be easily fixed up by having the sound devices installed again.
Yet this particular trouble has a simpler solution. If you had the audio devices and sound before, you will simply have to carry out a system restore in order to have the problem solved. For carrying a system restore, please get to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools and select System restore.
From there, select a Restore point from where you weren't experiencing this particular problem. You will have to select it properly. Then just follow the simple instructions. This will solve the matter.
