The sims 2 interlation

Hello, my name is lilly and i have the sims 2 and on the cover it says the sims 2 and then these three wierd letters so anyway i put it the disc in and i put the code in but then i comes up with just question marks what do i do please help me

Dear Lilly,

These weird codes are the serial code and please make sure that you are entering them properly. If you find that it is not correct, please contact the distributor or directly the manufacturer and explain them the problem and get the right product key.
