Black Screen on Laptop

Hello,

I have a black screen on my Laptop. I have seen many responses that say to go to RESTORE? I have just one question. How can I go to RESTORE or anthing else if I cannot see the damned screen to perform these activities? What am I missing????

A black screen is most often a hardware problem.
Have you tried to boot into "Safe Mode" by hitting F8 during the initial boot process.
Does the laptop give you the Windows starting sound or is it completely dead?
