My laptop has black screen..

Gud day..i have something to ask and pls uwill be able to help me..
With regards to my laptop.. i cant longer used it because it has black screen and even i connected it on tv screen theres still no display..My laptop can still work (it can still ON and it can still proceed on charging) but theres still no display..Someone i consulted rergarding to my problem..he said (its just his opinion) that theres something wrong in my laptop's CPU or i totally ruined my laptop thats why i should repair or changed to be able to used it again..what will i do..i need my laptop in my study..i want to fix it sooner..pls help me..
