Dvd format problem

Hello,i would really apreciate if some one can please help me with my problem.I have sony dvd writer.On the writer shows all the formats including dvd+rw .I can hear the disc spinning but system shows disk empty.Please advise.Thank you.

Dear Victor,

Please get the lens cleaned up for the fact that this might be causing some of the cds not to be read.
