Unable to connect nokia 2600c with pc

Hello,
iam unable to connect my nokia 2600c with pc. ihave the latest pc suite version and also the driver for my data cable.the error occurs when in pc suite it is asked to connect the pc with mobile..after connecting phone and pc the icon asking for connection still goes on.i dont understand the problem is with data cable or with phone?????????? or the driver installed ............. reply soon...........
