Updater problem

Hello,
i have just downloaded the updater from the internet.....and the file ..i got is in the form of ..zip..when i extract the file...files get extracted..then i open avira and start manual update ..ivdf_fusebundle_nt_en didn,t show in manual update folder...then i go zip file n try to extract each file but it didn,t work...and i didn,t get updated

I am just curious to know, why do you use updater to update Avira?
