Hello,
I have installed ubuntu 9.10. It is set to expire on april 2011 and every 18 months a new version is available for download. but I don't want to keep downloading new versions. How can I keep my current version permanent and is it legal?
Thanks in advance. Please answer, I don't know much about all this.

Ubuntu is free then you can keep the version that you want. You just have to not click on the "update version" button. But you can install all the other updates.
