My External HD Wont Work.....Please Help!

Hello,
My 320 gb WD external hard-drive was plugged into my apple macbook when it fell off my desk onto the ground causing the usb cable to be ripped out of my mac instantly.....i plugged it in after it happened and it said it cant read the information or something with the assistance of 'analyse' 'ignore' and 'eject' i have tried to analyse and nothing comes up to help me make it work and get all my information back.....i am so shattered! any help? thanks

P.S I'm just thinking of taking it to the local computer store to see if theres anything they can do.

The hard drive is probably dead from the shock it received in the fall. Sorry data might not be recoverable.
