Hello,
I just bought a new laptop "Toshiba" if that helps any.... I have been to various locations where people get perfect wireless connections, connect to it, and BAM! somehow it works for them. I dont understand why when I connect to the network it says I have been connected but have no internet access
my computer runs on windows 7....I've tried turning off firewall, configuring my network settings you name it
still can't connect....
please!!! help

I think that it just means that your computer did not manage to obtain an IP address (DHCP). Try to click with the right button on the connection icon, and choose "Properties" to see what kind of IP address it managed to obtain from your router.
May be you should try to set manually you IP address.
