windows xp doesn't see my CD/DVD drive. Closed

Hello,
My Dell Dimension 5100 won't boot, then I have to do windows restore by pressing Ctrl/F11 keys. Windows rebooted, in my computer I only see drive C, nothing else! I have 2 CD/DVD drives but windows xp doesn't see them. Please help.

Hi there,

Please check if the drives are having power and molex cable is connected inside cpu as well as the ide cables.if using 40 pin change it to 80 for faster transfer.Feel free to revert back and give more information on the results obtained.You can also refer to link below from Faq:

Both drives open and close normally and green lights flashing when during booting. This happened only after windows restore process. Sorry for typing error of computer model, it's Dimension 5150.
