Harddrive fail

Hello,

I have a prebuilt Widows desktop that came with a Barracuda7200.11 500gb sata-300 harddrive. About 6 months after I bought it the OS crashed and I couldn't reinstall. I got the harddrive replaced under warranty but I didn't want to wait for it to return so I put in a Maxtor 120gb sata and installed Windows Vista on it. Now another 6 months has passed and the same thing is happening. It sees the HD in bios but fails on install of OS saying it can't find partition. Is there some reason that the HD only seems to make it 6 months?

Bad luck or bad power supply or it could be too much dancing on top of the computer case.

Good Luck with the next drive.
