Hello, If a ram card was installed the wrong way round, what damage could occur as my pc now powers up but no led light on the power button, and the cpu fan is not turning. Please help!!!

it should have some beep sound if u installed the ram wrongly. is the rest of your fan working?

Hi thanks for the reply. yes the psu fan is working and there is power to the cd drive the tray opens and closes. I have tried cleaning the ram, put it in the other slot, and even removed it all together but no joy!

Hello,

Just a comment which you may know about but...

The most powerful stick should be in the first slot. DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 sticks cannot be mixed. Computerpro may agree, it does not seem to be a ram problem.
