Hello,
there is a problem in my system
i have a new 160 gb hardisk & i have installed windows xp in it
but there is a problem in running heavy applications.
like when i play some heavy game it will run easily for 5-6 min. & then system shut down automatically without any notice
also when i scan my system the same problem happens in middle of scanning.
although there is no problem in runnng music or internet.
please provide me solution......

Have you checked the system temprature.
suspect powersupply
suspect memory

my system temperature is ok but it only shut down with high graphic games and scanning...
yesterday i have installed visual studio 2008 .that was a quite heavy setup but my system runs fine . but shut down automatically with games or scanning. otherwise i work for hours on it & it naver shut down
