                    i'm assuming that your dell has a vga port for an external monitor.
this will enable you to connect your 'monitor' you will then be able to use it as normal. the sound will come from your laptop though.
the only thing you may need to buy is a vga cable for connecting the zenith to the dell.
when booting, i think you may need to hit one of the f keys (think its f5) to tell laptop to use external monitor.
