Dell laptop shutdown/restart problem

Hello,
I have problem with my Dell laptop, whenever am triying to shutdown/restart it's taking more then 10min to shutdown. pls help anyone how do i resolve this issue.

Hi there,

To much applications running and also on startup too much applications to be loaded on stratup,open run and type msconfig,go to startup tab and unselect some applications to be loaded automatically by windows on startup.
