Upgrading ram

Hello,
My problem is I installed 4GIG ram kit ( 2 sticks 2 gigs each) in my computer and it only shows 2 gigs ram in systems. I have an AMD Althon 7750 dual core motherboard. What do I do now?

You need to check the motherboard specifications to find the maximum RAM allowed. You can try to remove and reinstall the memory cards and swap the two cards into a different socket. It's possible you have damaged RAM or a damaged socket.

Hi Just got your advise and am updating you on findings. both cards work in both sockets just not at the same time.Mother board is upgradable to 8 gigs. Thank you for your time. I'm just stumped!
