High pitched noise

Hello,
My relatively new Toshiba L300 keeps making a constant high pitched noise and I have no idea why! It was working fine this morning, and now suddenly no matter what I do it keeps making this annoying noise. It's only coming from the left speaker and no other sound is working except for this whining noise. It makes the noise no matter what battery setting my laptop's on, i've searched through the sound settings and nothing makes a difference, can anyone tell me why it's making this noise or how I can stop it?

I have the same problem as you. I can only tell, that my Tosh l300 starts to emit this incredibly annoying noise then it stops then comes back three times louder! I think that the only solution for this might be varranty support... Call their support centre. they'll take your notebook for reparing and you'll probably see it in less than 14 days. ; ]
