6300 Problems

I bought a Micro SD 1gb memory card for my Nokia 6300. when I attach the usb cable to the phone to the computer the phones tells me to choose 1 out of 3 modes.

Nokia mode
Media mode
Data storage mode.

I click on Nokia mode and there no respose by the computer (The USB Icon does not even come up)

I click on Media Storage and the same happens

And when i click on Data Storage the Phone Freezes and no tick appears to confirm that and again computer has no response

I tried it with and without PC Nokia Suites and in other USB ports and no respose eventhough my other MP3 players etc work in the USB ports

Can You Please help me out - i even formatted the Memory card and still no hope.
