XP installation prob

can nyone help me out in getin a solution....i have 250 gb hard disk n im tryin 2 install xp.previously i had another 80gb(dual hard disk).due 2 some reason i had 2 repair one of the os in 250gb.after that the 250gb hard disk isnt getin recognized!!!now 80gb is pluged out.i formated the drives having the OS n while instalin im getin an error sayin that it cannot creat WINDOWS folder!!!now wat 2 do???
wel imy pc is a single processor wit 512 mb ram.

Hi there,

You need to enter bios and update it so as it gets detected on the board then save and exit settings booting from xp installation cd.

should there be any change done to the bios when ide hard disk is replaced with sata?
