Cannot view display while using function key.

When i was using fn key+f4, it is used for displaying battery status, but now i am not able to view that. moreover when i am using fn key for increaing volume, i am not able to view the dislplay but however volume get changed accordingly.

Please help, how to fix it again....

I am using samsung R418 laptop.
