Task manager disable

Hello,
1.when ever i press ctrl+alt+del i get a msg tht says "task manager has been disabled by the

adminstrator." also wen i do registry edit i get a msg that says "registry edit is disables

by the adminstrator." where do i find the adminstrator settings cos iv tried to look every

where. is there sumthin i can do or do need to format my computer?? please help..
Configuration: Windows XP


2.yes i am logged on with admin rights and i have norton updated version. i tried scanning

also but the scan does not show any kind of viruses on my syste

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (better - Copy and paste)

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

If that doesn't work chances R U've been infected/disabled by a virus.....Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It's Freeware. This program will detect viruses and malware that most Anti-Malware programs don't. By the way, Norton is not the best program out there. I recommend AVGFree myself. U can download it 4 free at Download.com..................Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!
