nothing fancy, audio, words, can not listen 2 anything,just a download 4 sound card i have no sound device installed 2 work w/

dell gx 260 pent.4 running windows xp upgrade 98 installed, no sound card, i was able to brouse and down load one in the past can not find one that will work this time. thanks, can you help?
