Floppy disc not detected

My daughter has brought her computer to me to fix. It comes on acts like its going to boot up but then goes to the black screen and says floopy disc failure. What can I do now?

HI there,

Unplug the floppy drive from pc by removing the cables and get in bios and disable boot from floppy also making hard disk on primary boot device,save and exit settings and reboot normally.
