I have a gateway computer with windows 7. I have a westell modem and a lynksys router. I was able to get onto the internet and everything was working fine. My kids put xbox 360 wireless on the computer and now I can't get out to the internet. When I trouble shoot I get DNS server disabled. I called verizon and they said this is beyond their technical capabilites. I then was instructed to call gateway. Gateway said they had to restore back to the factory defaults and assured me I would be able to access the internet after doing so. Well no. I still can't get out to the internet. It is still saying the DNS server is disabled. HOW in the world do I enable the DNS server? I am so frustrated right now. Any help would be greatly apprecated.
First what gateway did has nothing to do with you problem, did they charge you for that support the provided you? :)) Tell me is the xbox able to connect online now? email me you answer anna.bose@hotmail.com
